Peer Review Procedure

The peer review procedure of the Textile and Garment Magazine complies with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Science and can be described as follows:

  • Each paper submitted for publication is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers affiliated with institutions different from those of the authors. The identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors (double-blind peer review). If the reviewers provide conflicting opinions, additional reviewers are appointed.
  • The written review includes a clear conclusion regarding the conditions that must be fulfilled for the article to be published in the Textile and Garment Magazine or a statement recommending that the article be rejected.
  • The first author receives the complete set of reviews and, in accordance with the peer review procedure, must revise the paper based on the reviewers’ comments or provide a written response explaining their position.
  • The revised article or the authors’ response is reviewed by the editors or, where further clarification is required, by the same reviewers. The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief or, in exceptional cases, by the Chair of the Editorial Board. Where necessary, the authors are notified by email.
  • The identities of the reviewers of individual articles are not disclosed publicly.
